Day Of Atonement

Bible Basis:  Leviticus 16:11-19

Bible Truth:  God commanded the Israelites to set aside a day to sacrifice animals for payment of sin debt.

Memory Verse:  “And he shall make an atonement for the holy place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions in all their sins: and so shall he do for the tabernacle of the congregation, that remaineth among them in the midst of their uncleanness” (Leviticus 16:16).

Lesson Aim:  By the of the lesson, we will: EXPLORE the Day of Atonement rituals found in Leviticus; REFLECT on the meaning of atonement for our sins and its relevance today; and IDENTIFY those things in our lives needing repentance and seek atonement.
